Massive blob of plasma will kill tens of millions
Apparently NASA is sorta concerned about the Sun flinging a big fat ball of solar matter our way, destroying most of the planet's electrical grid and leading to the death of millions due to our dependence on electricity for everything from drinking water to pharmaceuticals.
I think such news is best responded to with my favorite Monty Python quote: Look at the bright side of life. That big bright ball of death hurling towards the Earth at half the speed of light, that is.
Cheery-O!

Thanks for the pick me up! ;) Interesting article...
Hahaha. There is so much other junk to worry about that honestly, I couldn't care less about a big blog of matter hurling toward us. In the meantime, I'll giggle about people seeing that old movie The Blog at drive-in theaters: "Don't walk. Run!"
@shelly100 - can't really do anything about it right now anyway. Just thought it was interesting, in an apocalyptic sort of way.
@yankeejwb - Lol. Yeah, it is.
